Common Violations

$Don\'t block access to doors. You must allow 18\" here and 24\" is even better on the latch side so that a wheelchair has room to get the door open.$

$All dispensers in your restroom must not be mounted higher than 40\" to the part that operates it.$

$Don\'t crowd this area. A wheelchair needs enough space here to transfer from the chair to the toilet. They can\'t fit in a 20\" space!!$

$A very common problem here is that the concrete drain is located within the parking spaces. You can\'t stay within the required slope with this type of drain.$

$One little sign that says Handicap Parking isn\'t going to cut it. Use the correct signs and mount them properly.$
